History of Blueprint LSAT Prep

Firstly, Blueprint is a test-prep company that has been around since 2005. It was started as an attempt at an innovative, enjoyable approach to the LSAT, and they have remained true to their initial goal.

The company offers online courses and private tutoring. And, in terms of their course instructors and tutors, Blueprint ranks favorably with top competitors in terms of the talent they bring in for these positions.

These instructors, combined with Blueprint’s proven teaching methods and LSAT strategies, create a high-quality test prep program that generally creates positive results. In fact, Blueprint students who take a Live Course average a 15-point increase on their LSAT score.

Pros of Blueprint LSAT Prep

Quality Instructors

Those who sign up for the Premium and 170+ Tutoring packages are guaranteed tutors who scored in the 98th percentile.

Quality Materials

Blueprint uses only real LSAT questions, and their packages give you access to the entire arsenal of available practice tests and questions. Plus, the question bank allows you to create customized practice quizzes for yourself.

One-on-One Tutoring Packages

Blueprint also offers individual, customizable tutoring packages that offer between 16 and 40 hours of private instruction.

Financial Aid Packages

Finally, Blueprint offers students who have received LSAC fee waiver approval financial aid packages to help cut the cost of LSAT prep. Depending on whether you have a Tier 1 or Tier 2 waiver, you can qualify for either a 35% or 50% discount on most Blueprint products.

Cons of Blueprint LSAT Prep

No More In-person Classes

Unfortunately, Blueprint has stopped offering in-person classes. These classes were offered in limited geographic areas anyway, but all instruction is now online only.

Less Information About Tutors

Blueprint used to claim that all of its tutors scored in the 97th percentile and higher on the LSAT. Now, it only claims to have “top-scoring” tutors. Thus, the standard may not have dropped, but it is unclear. However, if you get the Premium Tutoring or 170+ package, you’re guaranteed to have a tutor that scored at least in the 98th percentile.

Price

Although Blueprint is in line with many other review courses that feature live classes and one-on-one tutoring, that price is still relatively high. However, financial aid packages as well as our exclusive discount codes can help bring those prices down.

Blueprint LSAT Prep Course Packages

Blueprint’s LSAT offerings come in three categories: self-paced, live courses, and tutoring packages. Moreover, each category offers several options at different price points to fit your needs.

LSAT Self-Paced Courses

Overall, Blueprint’s self-paced online courses are its most economical option. The LSAT Self-Paced Starter Plan costs $99 per month and includes the following resources:

  • LSAT Study Plan to create a customized study calendar
  • 61 interactive learning modules and video lessons
  • 7,000+ real LSAT exam questions and ability to create customized practice quizzes
  • 57 official practice tests (through LSAC LawHub Advantage, a one-time $120 fee)
  • Unlimited access to live online proctored exams

If you like setting your own pace through the course but you want to add some interaction with LSAT experts, the LSAT Self-Paced Pro Plan costs $124 per month. It adds the following to the starter course:

  • Unlimited live review sessions six times per week with LSAT experts
  • Access to previously-recorded live review sessions
  • Interactive chat with online learner community
  • Score increase guarantee (after six months)

To take advantage of that score guarantee and receive a price break, you can pay upfront for six months of the Pro plan for $649. Additionally, if you think you’ll need a full year, you can get 12 months of access for $999.

To qualify for the Self-Paced money-back guarantee, you must set a baseline score by submitting a previous official LSAT score or taking Blueprint’s Practice Exam 1. Then, you must complete at least all learning modules and five total practice exams over at least six months. If your score on the real LSAT exam is not higher than your baseline score, you can request a three-month extension of the course or a full refund for up to 12 months of the original course.

LSAT Live Courses

For $899, you can receive four months of access to Blueprint’s Live Course, featuring everything in the self-paced courses plus:

  • 30 hours of live, instructor-led classes over 10-12 weeks
  • Unlimited access to pre-recorded review sessions
  • Downloadable quick-reference strategy guides
  • Score increase guarantee

The live classes are administered online and typically last 2.5 hours each. Thus, you’ll attend 12 of those classes, either weekly or biweekly.

Blueprint states that students in its Live Courses average a 15-point score increase, and the score increase guarantee is very similar to that of the Self-Paced Courses. However, if you want an even more robust guarantee, you can upgrade to the 170+ Course. This course, which costs $1,599, gives you six months of access to the self-paced course materials, plus the following:

  • 60 hours of live, instructor-led classes over 12-15 weeks
  • Access to 50+ hours of pre-recorded review sessions
  • One-on-one check-ins (not tutoring) with a personal LSAT coach
  • Downloadable quick-reference strategy guides
  • 170+ score guarantee

With this course, you’re guaranteed an increase in your score by at least ten points, or at least a score of 170 if you score 160 or more on your baseline exam. Check Blueprint’s website for full eligibility criteria, as they are more detailed than the other score guarantees. You’ll also typically have three 2.5-hour live courses per week.

LSAT Tutoring Plans

Additionally, Blueprint offers three levels of tutoring plans, all of which allow you to choose the number of tutoring hours you want.

  • The Core Tutoring course includes six months of access to Blueprint’s Self-Paced Course, plus the score increase guarantee. You can request 16, 24, or 40 hours of one-on-one tutoring.
  • The Premium Tutoring course includes everything from the Core course, plus your tutor is guaranteed to have scored in the 99th
  • The 170+ Tutoring course includes everything from the Premium course plus the 170+ score guarantee.

Furthermore, the cost of these plans varies by the amount of tutoring hours.

Core Premium 170+
16 hours $2,429 $3,779 $4,319
24 hours $3,509 $5,269 $5,983
40 hours $5,399 $8,192 $9,214

What Users Say About Blueprint LSAT Prep

Here’s what some real test takers on Reddit have said about Blueprint’s products.

I’m in the blueprint 170+ course (most expensive option) and I can confidently say that I love it. It comes with a question bank with thousands of questions and explanations, 15 practice tests, a study plan that updates daily with all my to-dos to keep me on track, live classes 3 times a week, unlimited office hours, and modules and homework to keep you on track. I’ve only taken 3 practice tests so far and my score went from a 151 diagnostic to a 160 in about a month. I take my next LSAT in June. I do really like the structure of the 170 course, as I think the live lessons themselves are the most helpful for me personally.

AppropriateAd5504, December 2025

I did the research and decided on Blueprint. I’ve really enjoyed the classes. The interface is nice, and I really like my teacher. You also get access to a bunch of what they call “office hours” which is basically “LSAT YouTube on steroids”. Also I booked an appointment to speak with them, and they just gave me $100 off which was nice.

HappyRedditor99, August 2025

I did the 170+ course for the score guarantee. It’s a lot of questions and modules to do but I did enjoy them. I have done other programs and this one was better.

Ideal Candidates for Blueprint LSAT Prep

Overall, students looking for self-paced online study resources will be satisfied with the materials Blueprint delivers. And students looking for quality live online or in-person classes will also find benefit from using Blueprint. Furthermore, students who are further along in their studies but have hit a plateau will find Blueprint’s smaller tutoring packages to be affordable and effective for getting past these sticking points.

But the student I would most strongly recommend use Blueprint for their LSAT prep is someone who is looking for an LSAT class and who has qualified for LSAC’s fee waiver. Blueprint’s financial aid packages make their LSAT prep the best value out there while not sacrificing quality. Therefore, if you have qualified for LSAC’s fee waiver and need to enroll in an LSAT prep course, Blueprint is for you.

Still not sure whether Blueprint is for you? You can sign up for their free trial, which gives you access to a study schedule, full-length practice test, eight learning modules, and advanced exam analytics. Also, you can get sneak peeks at the live classes. To take a look at all your options, check out our top LSAT prep courses for 2026.
